SLANT Live Queer Storytelling is Portland's original, 100% queer-run storytelling series featuring often under-heard voices. Started in 2014, SLANT features diverse queer voices on any topic our storytellers wish. 


Jeff Gierer, producer

Besides cajoling queer folk to spill their guts on stage, Jeff's a speech-language pathologist, public school educator, and graphic designer based in Portland, Oregon. Jeff's background is in serving children and families experiencing poverty, supporting students with Autism, and beekeeping.


Libby Roach, videographer

Libby is a freelance video storyteller and photographer based in Portland, Oregon. She works on a variety of projects, mostly for nonprofit and arts organizations. She is an Regional Arts and Culture Council award recipient for her collaboration with Jeff on the Teacher Ten project. Libby received her first camera as a gift from her mawmaw at age 12 in preparation for a trip to Central America where she explored the landscape through a lens for the first time. Libby has a Bachelors in Music from Portland State University, and enjoys playing music of all kinds. As a multi-instrumentalist and composer, she performs with her band Fractal Quintet. She hopes to melt your face with music one day! And she really hopes you will watch her videos in HD.
